I am broadly interested in the social interactions between species with a particular focus on the impact of flock composition on behavior in mixed-species flocks of birds.

Mixed-species flocks of birds occur throughout the world, when birds of different species move together through their environment in search of food. Benefits of this flocking behavior include a smaller chance of being eaten by predators and increased efficiency when foraging.⁣
